Elk Calf

Even with a broken lens and a severely outdated camera body I was able to capture this image of a newly born elk calf. Getting close was the key - this is from about 5 ft away. Luckily the mother did not know I was there and I was able to get out without getting trampled.

Nothing New

It has been a dark time in my photography hobby. A few months ago my camera fell out of my truck and the lens didn't make it. The base is OK but even that is very outdated. I have been waiting for Canon to come out with the latest and greatest updated version of the 5D but haven't seen it yet. I know as soon as I break down and buy it, the new one will come out. Anyways - I haven't taken many pictures lately. At first it was not a big deal to me as I have been very busy at work, but now I'm starting to miss it. Taking pictures is good therapy for me!

While I am stalling on the new camera and lens deal - I plan on spending time going through all my old pictures and organizing them. I'm sure during this process I will come across some that I will want to share on this site. If any of you have any suggestions of the best way to showcase alot of pictures in a way that is easlily viewed, but at the same time allows the images to be expanded so the viewer can experince the whole image and not just a thumbnail - Please send your suggestions my way. Just shoot me an email. Thanks (thesummercampkid@yahoo.com)

A Few More

Well, I dug up a few more images from my hard drive. I'm not quite sure how to organize them on this blog. I wish there was some sort of file structure I could save them in to have some sort of categories. Utill I find something better I'll just post them here. Enjoy

Time to let these images see the light of day!

As many of you know one of my favorite past times is Photography. If I was independently wealthly I would spend the majority of my time entertaining myself with this hobby. All my spare cash that I am able stowe away (without Holly's knowledge) is tagged and/or spent on my new photography equipment wish list!

Before I dove into the digital realm all my noteable shots were storred away in a slide storage box, only to be seen by others when I dusted off the old slide projector and displayed them on a section of empty wall space.

The last few years since I have started getting into digital photography. The same pattern has been followed with the exception that all my images are now storred on one of many hard drives on my desktop computer.

These images may not be enough to make a living on, but they sure have been fun for me to both take and share with others. Hopefully this site will allow others to see them, other than just me and my desktop!

It will take me some time to sort through my files and find some images that are worth a second look. Keep checking back from time to time to see more images from the past few years as well as some new sucesses (hopefully!)
